Nasal polyps are non-neoplastic masses of oedematous nasal or sinus mucosa.They hang down like teardrops or grapes.They result from chronic inflammation due asthma,recurring infection, allergies,drug sensitivity or immune reaction.
Small polyps don’t cause symptoms, but large polyps van block your nasal passages and can cause anosmia.Nasal polyps mostly affect adults.Medications usually relieve them but sometimes surgery is also required.
